Biography

Jonathan I. Groner, MD, is the Interim Chief of the Department of Pediatric Surgery and Trauma Medical Director of the Level 1 Trauma Program at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and a Professor of Clinical Surgery at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Groner’s research interests include the impact of trauma on minority children, as well as firearm trauma, ATV injuries and child abuse. Dr. Groner is a past president the Central Ohio Trauma System and served on the Ohio Emergency Medical Services Board for 5 years. He is an internationally known expert on the topic of physician participation in capital punishment in the United States.
