Biography

Jeffrey M. Hoffman, MD, is Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Chief of the Division of Clinical Informatics in the Department of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He has served as the Chief Medical Information Officer at Nationwide Children’s Hospital since 2011. As a practicing Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician for more than 20 years and now a board-certified physician informaticist, Dr. Hoffman has long understood the value of information and information technology in the service of patients, families and healthcare professionals. He and his team of skilled clinical informaticists – through our electronic medical record system and other health information technologies – support a variety of activities and programs throughout Nationwide Children’s Hospital, focusing on efficient, innovative and user-friendly solutions for electronic document and patient care, population health management, quality improvement, patient safety and clinical research.
