Jane P. Balint, MD

Jane Balint, MD, is an attending pediatric gastroenterologist at Nationwide Children’s and an Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Together with Molly Dienhart, MD, Dr. Balint leads the Intestinal Support Service, the inpatient and outpatient intestinal rehabilitation program at Nationwide Children’s. She is also the Medical Director of both the Nutrition Support Service and Clinical Nutrition at Nationwide Children’s. Dr. Balint is named among the “Best Doctors in America” and received the Excellence in Teaching Award from the Department of Pediatrics in 2006. Her clinical interest is in the care of children with short bowel syndrome and other forms of intestinal failure.
