Susan Hodge, DSc
Susan received her D.Sc. in the field of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science at Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri and also her B.A. in Philosophy & Religion at Antioch College, Yellow Springs, Ohio. Susan is an applied mathematician, modeling the genetics of human diseases. She works mainly on statistical methodology for analyzing and interpreting genetic data. Enjoyment activities for her are playing piano and hiking.
Sarah Bogen, BA
Sarah Bogen is a Research Associate in the Hodge Lab of the Battelle Center for Mathematical Medicine. She earned her BA in Mathematics from Capital University with minors in biology and computer science. She completed undergraduate summer research programs at the National Institute for Mathematical and Biological Synthesis (NIMBioS) and also the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
Her current focus is using computational simulations to study statistical analysis methods for investigating genetic linkage.
During her down time she enjoys swimming, reading, baking, and improvisational theater.
