The BCR is a CAP-accredited laboratory and biorepository within the Biopathology Center (BPC) at Nationwide Children's Hospital.
The HIV+ Tumor Molecular Characterization Project (HTMCP) will study 100 cases each of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, lung cancer, and cervical cancer. The ultimate goal is to understand genetic differences between paired tumor types in HIV-positive and negative individuals, thereby allowing targeted disease treatment. The HTMCP project is currently accruing tissue samples for molecular characterization.
