Germain H. Rupp, MD

Garry H. Rupp, MD, is Chief of the Section of Allergy at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and a Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Rupp was born and raised in the Columbus area but went out of the area for education and training. He graduated from St. Louis University with a medical degree, completed his pediatric residency at St. Louis University and Nationwide Children’s Hospital. His allergy training took place at the University of California in Los Angeles at Harbor General Hospital. He returned to Columbus after two years in the U.S. Navy and has been in private practice since 1974. He has served on many committees and has been president of the Medical Staff at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. He has been on several philanthropic boards and recently was awarded the Career Contribution Award from the Medical Staff at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. He lives in north Columbus with his wife, Kathie, and has four grown children.
