Alessio Fasano, MD,
Dr. Fasano is Professor of Pediatrics and Director, Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore. He is Medical Director for the Center for Celiac Research at the University. Originally from Salerno, Italy, Dr. Fasano is the author of multiple publications, is medical advisor for the American Celiac Society and a leading Celiac Disease researcher.

Wallace Crandall, MD
Dr. Crandall is a physician in the Division of Gastroenterology and Nutrition and Director, The Center for Pediatric and Adolescent Inflammatory Bowel Disease at Nationwide Children's Hospital. He is also an Associate Professor of Clincial Pediatrics at The Ohio State University School of Medicine and the Medical Advisor for our annual celiac conference.
Pam Cureton, RD,LDN
Pam is a dietitian with the Center for Celiac Research, Growth & Nutrition Clinic, Baltimore MD.
Mark Dinga, MEd,RD,LDN
Mark is an Outpatient Dietitian at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and an expert on the gluten-free diet and heart health.
Steve Plogsted,PharmD
Steve is a pharmacist on staff at Nationwide Children’s Hospital who has taken a special interest in the prescription and over the counter medication needs of patients with Celiac Disease. Steve’s medication update has become a favorite among conference participants. He has spoken at numerous regional and national conferences on the topic of medication and the Celiac patient.
Mary Kay Sharrett, MS, RD, LD, CNSD Mary Kay is a Clinical Dietitian at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and resident expert on the Celiac diet. She has served on the conference planning committee since its inception and is the clinical liaison to the Gluten- Free Gang Support Group that meets at Nationwide Children's Hospital. She has become a popular speaker at national and regional conferences and a favorite interview among the popular press.
$35 per person for registrations postmarked by the September 22nd early registration deadline.
After that date, registration fee is $40 per person.
Children 11 and under attend free.
Payment can be made by cash, check, Visa or Master Card. Registration fee includes:
Educational materials and activities, lunch and snack breaks. We recommend early registration as the conference fills quickly.
Progam is open to adults with celiac, parents of children with celiac,teens, children with gluten-intolerance and any other interested individuals.
This program will be held rain,snow or shine!
Main Campus parking is available in the garage near the Education Center. Parking costs 1 token. Tokens are available for purchase in the garage for $2 each.
Children ages 2-6 will be provided with a variety of fun activities during the day and will join their parents for lunch. Child care opens at 8:30 am. Parents eat lunch with their child at 12 noon am and child care resumes at 1 pm until 4 pm.
We are sorry however we are unable to provide supervision for children under the age of 2 or those who are not potty trained.
A confirmation letter with directions to the class will be sent to all participants registered two weeks before the program. After that time, no confirmation will be sent.
Cancellations must be received two weeks prior to the class. At that time, refunds will be made minus 30% for administrative costs. No refunds will be given after that time.

A special track is designed for teens (12 and older) and school age kids (7-11).Teen program will include a cooking class,living gf discussion, producing a celiac commerical and fitness fun adn more.
School-age program consists of learning about celiac disease, seeing an endoscopy, cooking class, producing a gluten-free commercial and fitness fun.
