    Brief Description of Homecare and Hospice:

    Nationwide Children’s Hospital Homecare is the only homecare provider in the area operated by the pediatric experts at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Staff works closely with the family and physician to provide a cost-effective alternative to prolonged hospitalization. We provide a variety of health care services in the home and have retail medical equipment and supplies on site.

    Monday - Friday: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
    Emergencies: 24 hours a day / 7 days a week

    Diagnoses or Conditions Treated:
    • Apnea requiring patient teaching and/or monitoring
    • Asthma requiring nursing visits and/or nebulizers
    • Diagnoses requiring enteral feedings
    • Diagnoses requiring oxygen therapy
    • Any life-limiting illness
    • Diagnoses requiring infusion therapy including: antibiotics, blood modifiers, chemotherapy, factor therapy, growth hormone, hydration, IVIG, line care, pain management, pulmozyme, synagis, total parenteral nutrition (TPN), transfusion therapy
    • Wound care and other conditions requiring surgical supplies/dressings
    • Phototherapy for jaundice
    • Conditions requiring blood pressure monitoring
    • Chronic pulmonary conditions such as BPD, cystic fibrosis, etc.
    • Hematology/oncology illnesses
    • Neurologic disorders
    • Short-gut syndrome

    Outreach & Support Services:
    • Social Work

    • Palliative Care Team

    Services Available:
    • Pediatric specialized care at home 24 hours a day, 7 days a week

    • Enteral Nutrition

    • Home medical equipment

    • Retail medical equipment and supplies

    • Hospice

    • Palliative care

    • Infusion therapy

    • Intermittent nursing

    • (short-term visit)

    • Skilled therapy visits

    • PT, OT, and Speech

    • Private-Duty nursing (long-term, hourly)

    • Oxygen therapy
