Brief Description of Family Health Information Center:
The Janet Orttung-Morrow MD Family Health Information Center is a consumer health library that is open to the public from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday (closed weekends). All families are welcome. It is located in the Medical Library on the second floor of the Education building.
The Family Health Information Center contains a multimedia collection of books, journals, pamphlets, videos/DVDs and databases designed to help parents and families find information about issues that affect their children: medical, psychological, educational and social. It also contains a special collection designed just for children as well as a collection of Spanish-language materials. Materials can be checked out with some form of I.D. (e.g. Driver's License). Access to the Internet is also available.
