The Ohio Home Care Program consists of three benefits packages, Core, Core Plus and Waiver benefit packages. All three packages include "core services" nursing, daily living, and skilled therapy services.
Medicaid/ Healthy Start Internet:

Healthy Start, Healthy Families program offers families, children (up to age 19), and pregnant women with limited income access to free and low-cost health coverage. Healthy Start is 200% of federal poverty level. Healthy Families is 100 % of poverty level.
Ohio Department of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities (ODMRDD) Information for Families

ODMRDD administers two Home and Community Based services (HCBS) waiver programs; the Individual Options Waiver and the Residential Facilities Waiver. Both waivers provide services to individuals who are mentally retarded and/ or developmentally disabled who without this support would require institutional care. ODMRDD also provides some financial assistance through their Family Resource Program to families with children who qualify for their services.

SSI program is a nationwide federal assistance program administered by the Social Security Administration that guarantees a minimum level of income for needy aged, blind and disabled individuals. In Ohio qualifying for SSI does not mean that your child automatically qualify for Medicaid. You must apply for Medicaid separately at you County Department of Job and Family Services.
