Biometric Screening (Metabolic Syndrome Screen)

To receive the $20 per pay health insurance premium discount for January through June 2015, the employee and their insured spouse, or same-sex partner, must complete the Health Risk Assessment on www.aetna.com and the Biometric Screening.

Employees and insured spouses or same-sex partners need to schedule a Biometric Screening provided by OhioHealth or complete the Physician Biometric Screening Results Form by February 27, 2015.

  • It is recommended that you fast for your screen 8-12 hours; however, if you need to schedule a time when fasting is difficult, don't fast. Tell the nurse you were not fasted. A non-fasting parameter for blood glucose will be used.
  • The Biometric Screening includes a lipid panel and glucose screen, possibly a hemoglobin A1C screen, a waist measurement, a blood pressure measurement, and height and weight measurement. Click here, to review information about the risk factors for Metabolic Syndrome.
  • Women who are pregnant anytime between November 1, 2014 and February 27, 2015 will not need to complete the Biometric Screening. Please contact Kari DuBro, Employee Wellness Program Manager, to receive information about how to earn the incentive for the year. Email or call 614-355-4154.
  • OhioHealth's online scheduling tool can be accessed from any computer.
To Schedule Your Screen: (for both employees and insured spouses/partners) BOOK NOW

*If it is a Level 2 Snow Emergency, the OhioHealth Biometric Screenings will be cancelled at the scheduled location. You will need to reschedule your appointment.

Our health plan is committed to helping you achieve your best health. Rewards for participating in a wellness program are available to all benefits eligible employees. If you think you might be unable to meet a standard for a reward under this wellness program, you might qualify for an opportunity to earn the same reward by a different means. Contact us at 614-355-4154, and we will work with you and, if you wish, with your doctor to find an alternative with the same reward that is right for you in light of your health status.
