Ending Ear Infections

Otitis media, more commonly known as an ear infection, is the most frequently diagnosed illness in children less than 15 years old in the United States.

More than 80 percent of children will experience at least one ear infection before their third birthday. Ear infections are the primary cause for pediatric emergency room visits, but they can be difficult to treat using shots or medications.

Dr. Lauren Bakaletz and her team have developed a revolutionary vaccine that prevents ear infections with just a single drop of liquid rubbed onto the outside of the ear.
