According to the American Board of Dermatology’s website, all applicants for fellowship training in Pediatric Dermatology must have satisfactorily completed the residency requirements for general Dermatology and be certified by or be an active candidate for certification by the American Board of Dermatology.
The minimum amount of time in direct clinical care during fellowship will be determined in part from whether the candidate has had prior pediatric training. For candidates without one or more years of post-graduate pediatric residency, a minimum of 80% time in clinical pursuits is mandated.
