Research Interests

Areas of Interest:

  • My research interests include kidney and urinary tract development specifically in regards to developmental causes of vesicoureteral reflux, which is abnormal backflow of urine from the bladder to the kidneys. Also, I am currently examining the role of DNA copy number variations in abnormal kidney and urinary tract development as well as innate immunity of the urinary tract. My researching group has discovered abnormalities in DNA copy numbers in genes important to innate immunity in patients with recurrent urinary tract infections.
