Dartfish motion analysis being used for throwing rehabilitation and injury prevention.

Many youth throwing injuries can be traced back to poor mechanics. With medical intervention - one can heal the injury but if the mechanics are not corrected then the injury can re-occur once back to play. Mechanical intervention plays a key role in our approach Dartfish Motion Analysisto  functional rehabilitation.  A systematic biomechanical review is critical for identifying areas of weakness and motion restrictions.   At Nationwide Children's Sports Medicine - we utilize a state of the art biomechanical software when evaluating throwing injuries as a necessary tool to detect poor mechanics.  The program is called Dartfish and it’s the same software used at the US Olympic Training Facilities to evaluate athletic performance.  Our goal is to help improve their mechanical form and take the stress off healing tissues to expedite their return to play and decrease the chance for re-injury.
