Dairy Study Seeking Overweight Adults 18-50 Years Old

Why are we doing this study?

Researchers in the Human Nutrition Program at The Ohio State University are doing this study to discover how dairy milk can help regulate blood glucose responses and improve cardiovascular (heart) health.

Who can participate in this study?

You may be eligible for this study if you are:

  • A man OR woman between the ages of 18-50 years old
  • At least 20 pounds overweight (BMI greater than 25)
  • A non-smoker
  • Not allergic to dairy milk or do not have any aversions to dairy milk

You are NOT eligible for this study if you:

  • Have allergies or aversions to dairy milk
  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Consume more than 3 alcoholic drinks per day
  • Exercise aerobically more than 7 hours per week
  • Take any medications to manage high cholesterol, inflammation or metabolism
  • Have a history of cardiovascular disease or gastrointestinal disorders

What will happen during this study?

There is no cost for taking part in this study, and participants will be compensated up to $400 for completing the study and the cost of parking will also be provided.
