Foreign-Born Workers

A study conducted by researchers at the Center for Injury Research and Policy showed that injury rates among foreign-born workers were lower than rates among U.S. workers in many industries - including construction, manufacturing and agriculture. However, non-fatal injuries to foreign-born workers were found to be more severe and more likely to require hospitalization than injuries to U.S.-born workers.
