Circle of Friends was founded in 1994 by three families whose lives had been touched by cancer. Through hard work and dedication, their grassroots fundraising has grown to include thousands in our community. To date, Circle of Friends has raised nearly $1.5 million for cancer research. Together with Nationwide Children’s Hospital and community support like yours, Circle of Friends is determined to help find the cure. |
Circle of Friends is actively seeking members interested in making a real difference in the fight against cancer. Members are asked to make a minimum one year commitment and join at least one committee. Members should be prepared to attend quarterly meetings. For more details, please contact Rachel Heine at (614) 355-0888.
Run for the Rainbow
In 2002, the Circle grew with the addition of the Run for the Rainbow 5K Run/Walk & Kids Fun Run. This scenic run through New Albany takes place annual in the week of June and is led by our own “Children’s Champions” who have survived or are currently engaged in their fight against cancer. It is a night of fun for all ages!
