Cheryl E. Gariepy, MD, is an attending pediatric gastroenterologist at Nationwide Children’s, a Principal Investigator in the Center for Molecular and Human Genetics in the Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s, and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She has received NIH funding for her research program focusing on the molecular signals controlling development of the enteric nervous system. She is the Motility and Functional GI Disorders Committee Liaison to the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition Research Committee, on the editorial board of the Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, and active in the Collaborative Alliance for Pancreatic Education and Research. She has published numerous research articles, presented at international meetings, and authored several book chapters. Dr. Gariepy is named among the “Best Doctors in America.”
Her clinical interests include congenital abnormalities of the gastrointestinal tract and genetic diseases of the intestine, pancreas and liver.
