Cheryl E. Gariepy, MD, is an attending pediatric gastroenterologist at Nationwide Children’s, a Principal Investigator in the Center for Molecular and Human Genetics in the Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s, and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She has received NIH funding for her research program focusing on the molecular signals controlling development and tissue engineering of the enteric nervous system. She is the Associate Director for Research of the Pediatric Gastroenterology Fellowship at Nationwide Children's, on the editorial board of the Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, a Counselor for the Growth, Development & Child Health section of the American Gastroenterological Institute Council, and an investigator in the NIH funded International Study Group of Pediatric Pancreatitis: In Search of a Cure (INSPPIRE). She has published numerous research articles, presented at international meetings, and authored several book chapters. Dr. Gariepy is named among the “Best Doctors in America.”
Her clinical interests include congenital abnormalities of the gastrointestinal tract and genetic diseases of the intestine, pancreas and liver.
