The Teen and Pregnant Program has a group-centered model of care called CenteringPregnancy.
The CenteringPregnancy program brings together women who are at similar stages of pregnancy to meet, learn care skills and participate in group discussions.
Patients who choose to enroll will participate in up to 10 sessions in a group setting, receiving all their prenatal care and pregnancy/childbirth education in one location.
Benefits to CenteringPregnancy participation:
Establish a support network of peers
Less wait time before regular prenatal appointments
CenteringPregnancy is a method of prenatal care that has been proven to decrease preterm births and increase healthy habits, learning, and friendships for pregnant teens.
If you are between the ages of 13-21 with a confirmed pregnancy, call Central Scheduling at (614) 722-6200 to set up your initial prenatal appointment. We will give you a check-up and information about joining a CenteringPregnancy group. Minors must have a parent or legal guardian present at their first visit.
