Allison Whittington, LISW, is the THRIVE (Complex Urological Conditions, Differences of Sexual Development and Gender Identity) Social Worker at Nationwide Children's Hospital. Prior to focusing on her education, Allison spent eight years in the United States Army Reserves as a Truck Driver and was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. She received her Bachelor of Arts and Master's in Social Work from The Ohio State University. Allison has experience working with adolescents and adults in various clinical settings for mental health and sexual health concerns. In addition to medical social work, she has experience with individual and family therapy. She is very passionate and committed to working with families through their challenges and improving their social and emotional well-being.
