The Family Violence Coalition at Nationwide Children’s Gets New Name

After thoughtful consideration and feedback from patients, families and staff, it was decided that The Center for Family Safety and Healing better reflects the work of the organization, will help raise community awareness and change attitudes about child abuse and family violence. Learn more about the name change and the merger between the Columbus Coalition Against Family Violence and the Center for Child and Family Advocacy at Nationwide Children’s.

The Center for Child and Family Advocacy is focused on the treatment and prevention of child abuse. Our comprehensive approach enables our multi-disciplinary team of experts to provide each survivor and their families with the personalized care they need to heal, while working to eliminate the damage that child abuse afflicts on society as a whole. Our approach has transformed the system with remarkable results. Many agencies now work together as one team and now, more than ever, a promise of hope is made for all children and families who turn to us in a time of crisis.

The Center for Child and Family Advocacy at Nationwide Children's Hospital represents an unparalleled opportunity to make a powerful statement that ending child abuse and family violence is a community-wide priority.

Through an impressive combination of public and private resources, the Center for Child and Family Advocacy is the first facility in the country to fully integrate child abuse and domestic violence services offering a continuum of support for victims from prevention through long-term therapy and support.
