For physicians, hospitals and health care institutions, ChildLab offers a unique pediatric perspective formed by decades of specialization.  The lab originated as a component of Columbus Children's Hospital in 1946.  At that time, the purpose of the lab was to provide laboratory services to the physicians at Children's.  But as our capabilities and expertise grew, we saw both an opportunity and a responsibility to share the expertise we had gained on a wider scale.
