Neuropsychology

The Behavioral Health Services comprehensive approach to care is provided by a multidisciplinary team – which may include a psychiatrist, developmental-behavioral pediatrician, nurse practitioner, psychologist, clinical social worker, and clinical counselor – to determine the best treatment options for each child and adolescent.

The Pediatric Neuropsychology Program at Nationwide Children’s Hospital provides neuropsychological evaluations for children and adolescents with a diverse range of medical, neurological, and neurodevelopmental disorders that impact thinking or behavior. A neuropsychological evaluation can help a child’s family, doctor, teacher, and therapists to provide support and assist that meet the child’s unique needs.

Neurological Evaluation Assessments may include testing of:

  • Intellectual functioning
  • Academic skills
  • Language
  • Visual spacial skills
  • Memory
  • Attention
  • Processing speed
  • Executive functioning
  • Sensorimotor functioning
  • Behavioral and emotional adjustment

Keith O. Yeates, PhD

Dr. Yeates is Section Chief of Nationwide Children's Psychology and Neuropsychology.

Dr. Yeates is also the Center Director for Biobehavioral Health Research.
