Developmental Assessment Program

The Developmental Assessment Program (DAP), a program of the Department of Psychology, provides autism and MRDD diagnostic and psychological assessment. The DAP is a comprehensive, interdisciplinary service focused on the assessment of children with suspected developmental disabilities. Primary clinical services include psychological testing to assist in the evaluation of developmental delays, severe learning difficulties, and co-occurring emotional and behavioral difficulties.

Services of DAP include:

  • Interdisciplinary Diagnostic Appointments with a psychologist, physician and speech pathologist to rule out autism
  • Follow-up assessments as needed in occupational therapy and genetics
  • Psychological assessments
  • Follow-up consultations (psychological and medical) for clients previously seen
  • Autism Resource Coordination – information and linkage to services within the hospital and community
